I was just on Scott Mosier’s wiki page yesterday and was surprised to see that he was listed as a producer on this thing — thought it might be a mistake. Now he’s a co-director?? Goddamn I’m excited to hear how that came about

 

No Jim Carey, boo

 

Hated the Jim Carrey movie. What little we are in this trailer doesn’t really excite me. I’ll probably just stick with the classic cartoon.

 

Wonder why they gave this to Illumination and not Dreamworks

 

Really?! I love the Carrey one haha.

 

This looks pretty awful. I will admit that I'm not a fan of Illumination though. I hated what they did with The Lorax, so I'm not sure I'll have high hopes with this.

It's really odd that the Seuss books have been sent out to different studios. I do like the idea of Warner Bros making The Cat in the Hat though. They've had a good recent run with the Lego movies.

I dunno, the Jim Carrey version is a little scary for young kids so as a parent I see the value in this lol

 

i adore the Carrey movie, one of the only holiday films i look forward to every year

 

I don't think I've seen the Carrey version since I saw it in theaters, all I remember is that occasionally I'll remember that Taylor Momsen was Cindy Lou Who in it
the Boris Karloff version is my version

I actually like the look of this, and Illumination did The Lorax which was good

God, even the editing of the trailer sucked. This looks so awful.
