Yeah I didn't really care for this.. felt like it could of been literally 30 minutes long with the same amount of substance. Some beautiful shots but it just dragged and dragged. I need some solid characters and dialogue to keep me invested.

This was a ride in a very very good way. Almost certainly my favorite movie released so far this year

Big fan of the pace of this & mysterious adventure of it all. Felt the lack of dialogue left room for the beautiful imagery to speak for itself.

I went in blind & started doing research after. Think this helped me enjoy it a lot more.

    Was excellent.

this is a prime movie for people who are expecting one thing, particularly a medieval action film, to be disappointed. It is not that.

the last 30 minutes are fantastic and wrap the film up wonderfully. It’s pacing is very deliberate. It takes its time. It’s almost dreamlike and disorientating.

love the themes it is ultimately grappling with.

This was already tied with Dune for my most anticipated movie this year, but these reviews - even the ones that weren't crazy about the movie - have me even more HYPED. This sounds likes exactly my shit.

I hope none of the words on screen were too important because I am apparently incapable of deciphering that old font haha

this ruled. I don't really know what was going on but I was in for it all

Loved this. Felt great to be back at the theaters as well. All the performances were great, but I wasn't expecting Barry Keoghan to show up. Guess I wasn't paying too much attention to who all had been announced to be in it. Alicia Vikander is seriously talented, can't wait to see her in more roles.

I loved it, but at the same time I fucking hated it. Might be one of the best movies of all time.

I'm still not a big medieval fantasy person but I gave it a go, I guess the whole point is that quests are futile but still hard to go on that journey

liked the A24 cinematic universe with Barry Keoghan yet again playing an evil little twerp, and Alicia Vikander playing Merida with a pixie cut and I think a poly woman, her and Joel Edgerton was great
but also why were there Irish, Scottish and British accents in this haha, I know it's filmed in Ireland hence all the haunted castles
    Dev was great

real missed opportunity to not have the monster say last christmas I gave you my head but the very next day you gave it away

Was simultaneously intrigued and baffled by this. Definitely a movie you stew on for a few days after.

This movie is incredible but I am not surprised people hate it if they went in expecting a faithful retelling of the poem or a big adventure movie or whatever. This is David Lowery putting his “A Ghost Story” sensibilities on a property (a bit more) mainstream and not giving any easy outs along the way for people not used to slow burning, abstract films. You’re either on his wavelength or you’re not and I very much am.

Also, Daniel Hart absolutely crushes this score.

This was good, but there are some pretty long shots that make this movie a bit too comfy. If I was watching this at home I would probably fall asleep, tbh.

The entire green chapel scene is great.

My favorite movie of the year, definitely agree that this is very much an extension of the themes that Lowery explored in A Ghost Story, but really plays with the ideas contextually within 14th century Arthurian tales. Feel like my personal belief system is really reflected with Lowerys last two films and he’s one of the few directors to hit those beats so succinctly.

I loved the long shots/methodical pacing of this, reminded me of BR2049 kinda. Obviously couldn't be more different setting wise but I felt pretty happy being able to see another movie in that vein in the theaters again

Even though it's very different than The Green Knight, i hope more people watch TOM&TG because of this. Just an absurdly charming movie that didn't get its due.

I don’t think I’ve watched a movie that dragged as much as this. The set pieces and costumes were cool but they could have easily cut off 30 minutes at least.
