unanimous praise for a24 should've ended no later than after what they did to under the silver lake

 

I love seeing people act like A24 only releases the best cinema, they put out just as much if not more awful movies. They just stop promoting those movies the second they get a bad review and act like it doesn't exist.

 

both are $20 but one you can only do one day at a specific time and the other you can do at your leisure

 

I honestly thought the screening room thing was just fancy talk for VOD

 

As theaters are going to struggle more and more during the fall and winter, they need to find a way to make streaming movies profitable. And doing shit like this isn’t going to help (why would I spring for an expensive limited time ticket when I can just assume it’s going to be on VOD shortly after?)

 

This legit doesn’t seem like a big deal..

 

I dunno, if I lived in a place where I couldn’t easily go to a theater and see this and they were promoting it as a one night special event and I bought tickets, only to be told I could’ve owned it for the same price if I waited one day but it’s too late to get my money back…I’d be pissed. It definitely feels like a shitty thing to do

I'm just glad I don't have to wait forever to see it but I am disappointed I have to watch it at home instead of at the cinema.
