Weightless Stella I'm honestly surprised SLG is doing so well. Not in a bad way - I like the song, I just didn't expect it to do this well.
"Sick Little Games" is a big stepping point for their songwriting, in my eyes. They were just finding fame and wrestling with all the complicated, messy stuff that goes along with it. Looking at a newer song like "Life of the Party," which explores a similar theme a decade later, it's a real clear starting point for those kind of introspective moments.
I've never thought Weightless was that great of a song. I like it, but there are tracks I like more on this album.
I really really like it, but I don't think the recording of it has held up all that well (namely the intro/first verse).
I'm going to let you all finish, but Weightless is one of the best songs All Time Low has ever written, and really just one of my favorite songs in general.
The first matchup could go either way for me and I'd be ok with it, it was a toss-up. I'm just over here flabbergasted that Break Your Little Heart of all songs is actually competing with Stella. Two totally different leagues of songs. BYLH is good but Stella is peak fun/catchy ATL.
Speaking of all time low, Dear Maria started playing in the commons of my High School and you bet I freaked everyone out by singing along.
