Remembering Sunday is more meaningful to me. Six Feet is better but i don't think we're going for objectivity here, are we?
That's fair. Your vote is your own, I was just wondering if it was a tactical one to make this round last longer, haha!
haha i wish it were closer, but Six Feet absolutely deserves the win. just had to be true to myself i guess
Six Feet Under the Stars I really do love Remembering Sunday though, lots of memories associated with that song.
We have a winner! Six Feet Under the Stars knocks out Remembering Sunday with 14 votes against 3. Coming up in 15 minutes: Nothing Personal
Moving on to the next chapter: Nothing Personal This is my favorite ATL album, it's a modern pop punk classic in my eyes. ROUND 1: 1a) Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don’t) vs. Weightless (interesting match-up) 1b) Keep the Change, You Filthy Animal vs. Walls 1c) Sick Little Games vs. Lost in Stereo 1d) Poison vs. Therapy 1e) A Party Song (The Walk of Shame) vs. Stella Upcoming ROUND 2: 2a) Winner of 1a vs. Too Much 2b) Winner of 1b vs. Winner of 1c 2c) Winner of 1d vs. Break Your Little Heart 2d) Winner of 1e vs. Hello Brooklyn Begin!
Weightless (Man, fuck this matchup. My two favorite songs on the album, and two of their 10 best, IMO. I went back and forth and back and forth but ultimately went with Weightless.) Walls Sick Little Games ("Lost In Stereo" has great verses/bridge, but an awful chorus. Puzzled why it became such a fan favorite.) Poison Stella
Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don’t) - this was a tough choice, but it had to be done Keep the Change, You Filthy Animal - Walls is good, but one of my least favorite on the album Sick Little Games Therapy Stella - another tough one, both are really great
Weightless: is this some kind of cruel joke? Walls: this one was hard because I love Walls and think it's overall a better song, but I love the bridge of Keep the Change so much. It's one of my favorites on the album. Walls is more consistent, so that's why it gets my vote. Lost in Stereo Therapy: this was another very hard one. Ultimately I think Therapy is a little overrated, but it's still an ATL classic and I have a hard time going against it for Poison, even if that is a particularly good bonus track. A Party Song (The Walk of Shame): one of my go-to's on this album. Such a fun song.
Weightless Keep the Change, You Filthy Animal Sick Little Games Therapy Stella That first match-up was brutal.
Weightless (What's the big deal over this matchup? Damned If I Do Ya is a fun little song but Weightless is legitimately one of the band's best/catchiest pop-punk anthems) Keep the Change, You Filthy Animal Sick Little Games Therapy (Poison should've been on the album proper, however, and would've been in the top half of album tracks if it was. It's a great song.) Stella Album Ranking Stella Therapy Weightless Sick Little Games Poison Keep the Change A Party Song Walls Break Your Little Heart Damned Lost In Stereo Too Much Hello Brooklyn
"Weightless" is gonna win the whole thing, which is some consolation when awesome songs like "Sick Little Games" are gonna get knocked out in round 1.
I think I said this in the LYR thread, but there's at least one song on every ATL album that I'd drop/replace with a B-side if I could. On NP those songs are Hello Brooklyn, Lost In Stereo, and Too Much. Take those off and put Poison on, and this is maybe the best ATL album.
I would have picked Damned If I Do Ya, but I'm a little relieved that I don't have to vote against Weightless.
"Hello Brooklyn" and "Lost In Stereo" would make a great song if you could take the chorus (maybe with a lyric rewrite) of the former and the rest of the latter. But stretched across two songs, the flaws are pretty glaring.
