9/27/72 Jersey City is my favorite version of "Friend of the Devil" I think. It's a little wobbly but also somehow perfect
Some days my favorite moment in their entire catalog is Bobby yelling "will you turn this up for fucks sake??" between the first two songs of the sunshine daydream show
Ace is the best studio album by the Dead or members of the Dead, non-1970* division. No further questions. *when I first typed this out I thought NRPS debut was also 1970 not ‘71. Think I still stand by my statement but it’s much closer
The show in Raleigh last night was great. One of their best Sugarree's. John turned around and fist pumped he was so excited they nailed the transition from I Need A Miracle -> Warf Rat
Starting to get extremely excited for tomorrow night, I mean look how they started the second set last Thursday in Virginia…
Think I’m gonna pay up for the livestream of the final show tonight and try to stay up for all of it haha
It looks awesome but that’s a lot of cash for a set where I already own >60% of the material. Only way to get Without a Net on vinyl tho………
I also don’t have Wake of the Flood or Reckoning but there’s a million old copies of their studio albums out there in bins and I don’t actually like most of the versions on Reckoning Without a Net is fucking choice tho
