my trick is to find one thing that has to do with the dead that also has to do with something someone else likes, tag them about it, and then when they politely acknowledge me by posting, they're subscribed to the thread forever, because there is no unsubscribe button like when i tagged @OdranWaldo about the dead supporting the IRA
I've heard his is the best of them. Billy's is supposedly almost completely couched in "this is what I remember happening but i was on a lot of acid so i dont really know" lol. The Jerry on Jerry book is supposed to be really cool too
I'm really bummed that Dead and Co will be hereduring the busiest week of the year for me. It's just completely impossible to get off work and there's no way I can go and come into work the next morning like I could've 10 years ago. Maybe next summer...
Listened to a couple songs from 6/7/19 at The Gorge and man these guys sound superb. Very cool dark star>scarlet with a Mediterranean sounding jam at the end.
What a great show. Especially that opener Grateful Dead Live at Parc des Expositions on 1974-09-18 : Free Borrow & Streaming : Internet Archive
On the secondary sites, $40 gets you into tomorrow's show at Wrigley. Semi-hoping my plans fall through so I can check them out.
Phil had a girl called Elliot Peck singing this song on Sunday and it reminded me of this cover, one of my favs from the comp
Hit the show at Citi Field last night and was very impressed. I saw them at Citi in 2017 and thought it was a complete snoozefest with some noticeably sloppy playing. Last night was very much the opposite: great energy, amazing song selection, very tight playing.
Glad you had a good time even with some technical difficulties I heard about. And you got to see Wolf! That's really fuckin cool, I'm jealous. They have definitely kicked it up a notch this tour, sometimes tempo is still an issue but they're never both sloppy and slow which is good. Definitely tighter than they've ever been
