Yeah I think I listened to 2 of those or something and Caravanserai which is kind of his first major shift into fusion as I understand it so I definitely have to get into him
Ezra Update: How the Dead brought music on campus back to life but....did this show actually happen??
I always forget when I rec Skull & Roses that there's an 18 minute drums>other one. That might be daunting. But it slays so whatever
Crosby Stills and Nash taught them that. I love virtually every song on that album, but especially New Speedway Boogie. They never really played it live so it has a really unique feeling to it when I listen
Have you ever tried listening to Live/Dead and skipping "Dark Star?" You'll definitely enjoy them more. How much more is questionable, but I'd be surprised if you didn't enjoy "St Stephen>The Eleven" or "Death Don't Have No Mercy." "Lovelight" might be a bit jammed out but it's all great songs.
I understand. It was The Grateful Thread on ap.net which I also liked but I wanted it to be searchable
Of course, I'm just teasing. If I saw The Dead Thread I'd think we were talking about grave robbing or something
Hmm.....that'd be a sick thread too though. Might trick some people into opening the thread too. I gotta think on this.
"What the fuck man? I wanted to talk about human body decomposition and mortician practices and this is just about a fucking band?"
That's true. And I mean, someone could very much think this is a thread to discuss being happy someone's dead
Ever see a grown man cry during "Terrapin Station"? I have. My father let tears of joy roll down his face when we saw Dead and Co in Worcester a few month back. God love that man.
I'm not sure if he cried, but my dad definitely had "a moment" during Peggy-o. Pretty sure he was having a straight up flashback to somewhere around 1977.
