Review: Jerry Garcia's 'Before the Dead' Is a Fascinating Origin Story I'm gonna listen to this so much
My favorite local radio station is playing 24 hours of the Dead starting tonight. Tune in if you need some jams and support a dope indie station. 24 Hours of the Grateful Dead Starting At 6PM!
Pretty incredible last night when the band completely fucked up St Stephen to the point where they had to stop and the crowd went fuckin wild and loved it lol Best dead and co show so far easily. Dunno if I could've written the setlist more perfectly
huh??? where'd you see that?? there'll be video, you can buy streams of every show and they always end up out there
Yeah the stream costs money. They put up the first song of each set for free every night though. A lot of the time I can find a download of it but not all the time. I'll keep an eye out
@zmtr Not sure if you're using an AUD source for the stream, but Mixlr always has SBD stream pulled from the live video. Terrapinsummercouch2 on Mixlr
I fell in love with a bunch of their songs thanks to JVs cover of Black Muddy River (with Bruce Hornsby) and the Day Of The Dead set at Eaux Claires a couple years back. Have never listened or watched the live stuff though. I bought the stream. I’m excited.
Oh shit this is great. Is there anybody out there that rejects this band because JM is in it? I feel like there would be some dead head purists that hate it or something. Whatever he’s incredible when he’s doing stuff like this.
There were a lot at first. Most have been silenced by now I think. There are real criticisms of the band but none of them are Mayer's fault
I disagree from what I read all over the place. Guy still gets crucified for unrelated ish, which is unfortunate. I do think he's a good fit for Jerry's style of playing though.
Girlfriend cooking up some dinner, just opened a bottle of white and threw American Beauty on the record player. God damn this record sounds absolutely sublime on wax.
