Hope D&C break this cut out Just exactly what the FUCK you gonna do now?? (I'm talking about the sailor/saint but the Touch of Grey is wild, some different kinda licks in there. early version i guess)
For the first time ever, I just scored JRAD Brooklyn Bowl tickets in the presale. Feeling good. Should buy a lotto ticket.
As a side note, the fact that you can see like 2-3 JRAD shows for the cost of one D&C ticket is an all-time no brainer for me. I'm taking JRAD 100 times out of 100, even if D&C is the more "authentic" Dead experience in terms of the musicians and style.
D&C tours have almost all been in more accessible venues for me, especially the ones outside big cities. Plus I usually go with my dad who prefers D&C. And everyone else I know who's going to shows is going to D&C. Most importantly, I don't see any reason I won't be able to see JRAD in 15 or 20 years. I wanna see the OGs while I can
I'm planning to go to the Alpine Valley Dead & Co. show. Should be a good time, I had a lot of fun at Wrigley, but it sounds even better to see them on a GA lawn than in stadium seating nosebleeds. Should cost about $60, which isn't too bad at all.
dope set featuring a very high (on something) Pete Townshend having no idea what he's doing, rhythm devils scoring the flying karamazov brothers, and all time TOO (first set dope too)
Fuck man, he's the same age as Bob and younger than every other living member. Really scary reminder that we could lose any of these guys at any time, not to say he isn't a great loss in himself. Fuck.
been getting into shows from 80-82 the last couple weeks. way better than I expected. Not as consistent as some other 2-3 year spans but the peaks are as high as ever. specifically: 10/10/82 3/28/81 10/9/82 8/10/82 9/21/82 all great
Bob Weir @BobWeir @cshadows2887 if you wanna see how Bob works...thats as plain as you'll see it. Phil too. Really demonstrates how unique what those two do is. Not streaming tonight but have a feeling I'll be listening to the tapes for a while
