I thought that was just me with this red hot spicy take haha. They have no chemistry for me. The scene where they're watching their highlights did absolutely nothing for me emotionally. Speaking of Parks and Rec I hated how they did all their soppy lovey dovey stuff with Leslie and Ben too. I think I might just be anti-romance haha.
The Office is a rare example of a show that got so embarrassingly bad that I can’t even enjoy the original couple of good seasons anymore
I never watch it anymore but I have great memories of episodes or moments as they happened. Not quite a resounding endorsement I guess, hahaha
I really don't think the quality of the Office dropped that much at all. It was pretty much always the same for me. A bit weaker as it went on but I liked Spader more than Michael.
He’s actually probably my most hated character now that I think of it. Didn’t find him funny at all and he stuck around for a whole year. He ruined that entire season for me.
an absolutely cursed take. robert california is not just the worst office character but one of the worst tv characters ever. god damn man. im mad online.
It’s honestly kinda impressive how The Office went from “down to earth normal real people + Michael/Dwight” to gradually flanderizing literally every character so that they’re all equally absurd. Prime example of American tv destroying itself by going on way too long
I just pretend The Office ends on the episode that Michael leaves and then restart back to S1. Much more enjoyable that way. Other than that, I really don't think the quality went down that much at all over time I do understand criticisms of flanderizing characters though. For me, the show became something different, but not necessarily in an awful sort of way
I truly think The Office started as a B minus show that eventually turned into a D minus by the end. Certain characters and storylines were closer to A's but a lot of it was pretty terrible from the start
