I know I'm kinda late, but I started the series with my mom a few days ago (but couldn't wait to finish it with her) and watched frrom S1E5-S3E1 in the past 24 hours & wowie. Really looking forward to catching up before this starts back up

 

I thought this was on tonight and now I'm so bummed I have to wait another week.

 

It took me til midway through the series to realize her name is Ellanor and not Elena

 

E! Misidentifies Jameela Jamil as Her ‘The Good Place’ Character’s Sister at Golden Globes

not sure how real this is but it made me chuckle

 

That is unbelievable and made my whole weekend

 

Really happy for Rachel but I was pulling hard for Kristen.

 

That promo made me realize we have new Brooklyn Nine Nine and The Good Place back to back this week. We don’t deserve this.

Nicole was a perfectly weird character, loved the compliments guy too

 

Some great jokes this week but story-wise it felt a bit like filler which is unusual for this show. Still super happy it's back

I really loved the ethical questions it’s posing and I think it’s about to go to a place that makes me really happy.

The idea that the world has become much more complicated over time and hard to be "good" in is interesting. Kind of ties in with the idea of no ethical consumption under capitalism.

 

Yeah. Plus it makes Chidi right about the almond milk!

 

The critique of American liberal obsession with process over ideology/capitalism was amazing.

 

That episode had like...everything I needed to hear this week.

Also Jason immediately crying when seeing Janet and Tahani crying was the hardest I've laughed in a long time

I fell off a few episodes back and I still need to catch up before I can read these posts, but I realized I actually miss checking this thread every time it is at the top of the page. Everything involved with this show is so wholesome and good, even the online discussion cheers me up.
