Did they ever explain why in the pilot Chidi said he speaks French that gets universally translated, but now they are supposedly back on earth and he still speaks perfect English? Could just be a throwaway line that they ditched because it would've held back where they wanted to take the story. But this show also does a good job with subtle little bits of foreshadowing so maybe it still is relevant and they actually aren't back on Earth or Chidi isn't what he appears to be?
