The Girlfriend Experience (Starz) TV Show

Co-created-written-directed by Amy Seimetz (dir. Sun Don't Shine / actor. A Horrible Way to Die / Upstream Color) and Lodge Kerrigan (dir. Clean, Shave / Keane / Claire Dolan), The Girlfriend Experience is intended as a 6.5 hour film and will be available in its entirety on April 10th via Starz. Mary Lynn Rajskub, Kate Lyn Sheil, Paul Sparks, Sabryn Rock, and Briony Glassco round out the cast.

 

I liked the Sasha Grey movie, I could be into this.

 

Me and the fiancé are going to watch it. Been looking forward to it.

2 people from House of Cards are in it too.

The first two episodes are killer. Would watch it in one sitting if I had the time, but I'm settling for 1-hr chunks instead.

 

yeah I watched three episodes last night. Will probably watched a few more tonight.

Supposedly the finale is supposed to be one of the best episodes of television this year.

 

Keough is giving a TV standard setting performance. She's incredible. And Lyn Sheil is always wonderful. Excited to see more familiar faces pop up. Thought the home screen selfie with Amy Seimetz on Christine's phone was adorable.

 

I love the way it's filmed. The score is fantastic. Reminds me so much of the way The Knick was filmed. Steven Soderbergh is the best.

 

yeah, pulsating synths right off the bat ~ got a smile out of me to see that Carruth did the score

 

Watched 2 episodes so far. Love the score. I'm happy that the episodes are 30 minutes and they released them all. Perfect to binge.

 

First episode was great

 

I liked the first a ton. Super moody, had me on edge the whole time

 

4 episodes left. Still a lot of story lines to finalize.

I've really enjoyed this show so far. The only problem I have with it, is the number of loose ends they don't tie up. Jacqueline. Avery. Kevin.

 

I need to finish this!!!

 

Holy shit. That finale was incredible.

Anyone else finish it yet?

 

Shamefully just gotten to episode four. The series moves fast. And it feels even more relentless when most scenes run under three minutes.

 

I really loved the first few episodes but then I got distracted by Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Dark Souls 3 so I haven't watched much more.

Steven Soderbergh's 'The Girlfriend Experience' Renewed for Second Season at Starz (Exclusive)

I actually really enjoyed the first season, so I'm happy about this.

 

not sure what they can do with a second season, i was happy with there just being one

 

The show was always planned to be an anthology.

 

That final role playing scene is amazing. I only caught a bit of this but I got the gist of it.

 

The entire finale was fantastic.

 

The Girlfriend Experience will return in November
