Same here I'm probably only gonna be able to go on the Sunday. Don't think I can swing all 3 days so I'm hoping the Sunday lineup is the best one
Here is a controversial take There Are Rules (Deluxe Edition) is a stronger full length album than On A Wire and Guilt Show
tbh i'd probably put on a wire and there are rules pretty close i love them both. guilt show is their best record though as i always say
Guilt Show remains my favorite overall, but There Are Rules is my favorite to crank up and listen to on vinyl. Guilt Show desperately needs a different mastering for vinyl.
I mean, I made it a point to reference the Deluxe Edition which has 18 tracks Petty Pretty Things and Tommy Gentile are better songs than all of the songs on Guilt Show Also, Neverending is a great song, but no one would know when it's hiding at the bottom of the deluxe edition. It only has about 3000 streams on Spotify
The 3 best songs on On A Wire (Overdue, Campfire Kansas, Walking On A Wire) are better than every song on Guilt Show and There Are Rules Can't say the same for the rest of On A Wire as the drop off in song quality is significant after the best 3, but I still love On A Wire from start to finish
lot of a great covers! an local band from my area was on there i believe, i havent jammed it in forever but when you mentioned campire i remembered FCC
same reason he left MCR, allegations of sexual assault, abuse, drug use, fan interactions. I'm in no place to speak on the legitimacy of anything, but there's places to read further and dig in
There’s also a super interesting podcast episode with one of the guys from Pentimento/Reggie and the Full Effect and he’s pretty candid about some of the weird behavior of James and such while they toured as his backing band.
i remember there was a whole IG page dedicated to james, it was like he was preying on single moms/fans and taking money or something, and like said above i dunno how legit it was, my friend tried looking for it years later and the page was hearsay so TGUK obvi had to give him the boot or everyone would whine even if its true or not, the dude that replaced him doesn't have the same energy either , its a bummer, i saw them in 2019 open up for TBS and without james it definitely wasn't the same, still going to this tour but i haven't seen them since then
