  1. I don’t know if people are ready for how fucking great the new Get Up Kids record is - like even I wasn’t expecting a TGUK LP in 2019 potentially being one of the 10 best records I’ll hear this year

    I am very excited about a Get Up Kids album tackling some of the issues of getting older. The Menzingers' After The Party was a great record about getting older, but I only got into their music around 2012. The Get Up Kids and Saves The Day were THE bands for me in high school and early college.

  14. imo this reminds me of my favorite comeback records like No Coast in that i don't really care where it falls in their discog because it's just so enjoyable and fun and good. exactly what i'd want from them

    I don't know why, but even though Something to Write Home About is one of my favorite albums of all time, everything TGUK have done since save for a few songs on Guilt Show do absolute nothing for me. Including this album =/

    Album is great aside from some really weak lyrics in some areas. Surprised this tread isn't getting more posts.
