Aside from the one the band covered, I would like to hear him do Wildflowers, Crawling Back To You, Here Comes My Girl, or Even The Losers. Petty is one of my favorites of all-time and Fallon is one of my favorite contemporary artist, so pretty much down for anything haha.
I'd wanna see Brian do any solo petty song an I was trying to pick just one, and this one never crossed my mind, but now I NEED it
Old White Lincoln Red Violins Apparently Brian tweeted today or yesterday that a new single was coming "very soon"
Old White Lincoln (11) vs. Orphans (7) Red Violins (6) Vs. Say I Won't (Recognize) (12) I know I'm supposed to remain unbiased in this, but Orphans is losing? Y'all are strange.
I'm weird about this band, I casually liked The 59 Sound, then didn't even listen to American Slang and still haven't, then really liked Handwritten and sorta dug Get Hurt and then greatly enjoyed Brian Fallon's solo stuff so I have no idea where I stand This thread tells me I should listen to American Slang probably
Just can't agree with this when the album in question has "The Backseat," "The 59 Sound," "Great Expectations," "High Lonesome," "Meet Me By the River's Edge," and "Here's Looking at You, Kid."
I'll take Cowgirls (and Film Noir for that matter) over High Lonesome and Great Expectations all day long so it's top 5 for me as well.
"High Lonesome" and "Great Expectations" are my 3 and 4 from that album. Come on, "High Lonesome" has both the better hook than "Cowgirls" and the better Tom Petty reference!
So a friend of mine just got sent information about “Brian Fallon and The Howling Weather” in regards to UK tour dates. Has anyone already spoken about this? Apologies if this is already known.
He did say a new song is coming "so soon" yesterday, so I'd expect a tour announcement not long after. Exciting!
