I Could'a Been a Contender (6) vs. I'da Called You Woody Joe (2) Keepsake (1) vs. Mae (7) Mama's Boys (2) vs. Meet Me By the River's Edge (6) Miles Davis & The Cool (7) vs. Misery (1) Mulholland Drive (3) vs. National Anthem (5) Alright folks, keep the votes comin'! I'm gonna be busy for the next few hours so I won't be able to update the votes until late tonight. P.S. Glad to see I'm not the only out here stumping for Mama's Boys.
Not a huge fan of Halloween but those other 3 B-Sides from GH are monsters......love those songs. Sweet Morphine and Mama's Boys weren't necessarily fits on that album though in my opinion. Have Mercy however......would have been great on the album proper.
River’s Edge is possibly my favorite Gaslight song and I’ve been trying to figure out a tattoo idea based around it with the “No Retreat”
for a while i wanted "no retreat no regret" on my chest with an anchor in the middle connecting them but then everyone got chest tattoos so im like eh
Keepsake vs Mae is hard. Two of the better song on Handwritten I'da Called You Woody Joe Mae Meet Me By the River's Edge Miles Davis & The Cool Mulholland Drive
I Coulda Been a Contender Keepsake Meet Me By the River's Edge Miles Davis & The Cool Mulholland Drive "Keepsake" vs. "Mae" was really tough. I love "Keepsake" for personal reasons, but "Mae" is a great song. I had to go with "Keepsake" though, for that personal connection. "Mulholland Drive" vs. "National Anthem" was tough too, but I had to give it to "Mulholland Drive" for that guitar solo and the lead guitar lick in the outro.
I really do not understand the love that the Get Hurt b-sides get around these parts. I think they're all pretty second rate, with the exception of "Have Mercy."
I didn't vote for it, but I really do love Mama's Boys. I can't really explain it, I just think it's so much fun.
I'da Called You Woody Joe Mae (my fave Gaslight song!!) Meet Me By the River's Edge Miles Davis & The Cool Mulholland Drive (this was really hard)
I'da Called You Woody Joe Mae Meet Me By the River's Edge Miles Davis & The Cool Mulholland Drive I could flip a coin for the first matchup Keepsake is a damn good song but I enjoy Mae more. It’s been so long Mae, so long Meet Me by the Rivers Edge is probably my second favorite Gaslight song. Sally was my grandma’s name but the lyrics really hit home. I love this song so much
I Could'a Been a Contender. Best of two average songs (for them) imo. Keepsake. I actually love both of these songs a lot. But that riff in Keepsake wins it for me. Meet Me By the River's Edge. My least favourite on The 59 Sound but still great. Miles Davis & The Cool. Come on. This song is incredible. Like Miiiiiiiles Daaaavis... This song is one of the most remember able from the album excluding the singles. Mulholland Drive. This is possibly my favourite TGA song so I have to back this, even if National Anthem is amazing.
Ahh I missed the last voting round (not-round, idk what to call it), but at least all the songs I would've voted for advanced, as for this one, I Could'a Been a Contender Keepsake Meet Me By the River's Edge Miles Davis & The Cool Mulholland Drive
Did not know there were this many "Mulholland Drive" fans. I expected "National Anthem" to run away with it.
Mulholland Drive is so good. I like National Anthem, but it's honestly in my least favorite on that album.
