Mullholland Drive is my favourite TGA song, narrowly beating Bring It On, Patient Ferris Wheel, 45, and Old White Lincoln
Lo Love Bring It On. Was my fav for a while. Now the opening two tracks of The 59 Sound are back at the top I'd say.
No it's not. I know it sucks admitting that you're part of North Jersey, but sometimes you just gotta accept it.
There's North Jersey, South Jersey, and Jersey Shore. Ocean County is Jersey shore. I'm kind of kidding.
Real reason Gaslight broke up is because Brian realized that his belief in Central Jersey was all a lie.
assuming he releases the new album within the next 3-4 months and spends the good portion of next year touring off it, i'd wager 2020 new GA album after writing/recording. i will wait (semi)patiently for a big comeback.
I don't think a one-off festival appearance or show is out of the question next year for '59 Sound anniversary. Not saying they would play the record in full, but given the band's thoughts on that record and the fact they will get back together at some point makes it a possibility.
could see them for sure doing a few 59' Sound shows but not a tour. wouldn't be surprised if they did like 1 or 2 nights at the Stone Pony summerstage in may or June. Would be all over that.
Yeah my guess is one big Stone Pony Summer Stage show next year Which I would 100% attend Maybe Riot Fest too
Here I was just being excited for the new solo LP but now you all have me irrationally excited/hopeful for this. I'd find a way to get to Jersey if that was the only show they played, but I'd cry tears of joy if they played Riot Fest. Here's hoping!
and a surprise (but totally expected) appearance from bruce to close out the show during the encore with American Slang
By American Slang you mean them playing the whole album with him right? You're saying there's a 100% guarantee that's happening?
So, uh, the Yellowcard thread had a couple of people go through and rank every song of theirs. I may do that for Gaslight. It is going to kill me.
I will have to find 3 hours of my day to do that. But I kinda want to. It'll stress me out so badly. Even a top 5 kills me.
I think the way I would do it would be to take my favorite tracks from each record and put those in a group. Then take the ones that feel like the least favorite and put those in a group. Then, take the tracks that kind of fit in between the favorites and least favorites and have those in a third group. I would then rank each group separately. Once you have those three groups you can sort of sandwich it all together. The toughest part would breaking down each album when there are so many strong tracks and not a ton of filler.
