I've been binging this band again after only really listening to Brian solo the last few years and god this band really is the best

How do you feel about the actual worst song on the album, Too Much Blood

I really like brians vocals on Too Much Blood

 

the verses are some of the worst stuff in the discography but the choruses are actually pretty nice. i like the chorus having primarily just the one lead guitar part following his voice, it’s a nice contrast with how dumb and overblown the verses are

worst song on album is Teenage Rebellion (if that counts). Next worst is Desire

 

Teenage Rebellion is awesome!!! Desire is not good.

 

Will never for the life of me understand the weird “Desire” hate.

 

"Hold You Up" and "Misery" from the vinyl EP are also both great songs.

 

Just listened to it and yeahhh its absolutely the superior version especially when you get to the bridge.

Me neither. It’s a catchy pop song. Not one of my favorites, but I think it’s a good song.

One of my favorite podcasts ever. Hearing BK break down every album, every song was simply magic.

The way he got choked up about Brickwall Views is a perfect mirror of what that song does for so many people.

i forgot how good of a record Painkillers is

 

Just re listened to their entire discography the last 2 days and honestly not a bad song. Some I don’t like as much but nothing is straight bad.

Have Mercy is one the of the best songs ever written.

I know it's not an album, but the version of the song that came on the bonus 7" with Painkillers is probably the closest we'll get to that, and it's pretty great.

 

My take that always gets me in trouble in this thread is that I never understand why people think “Blue Dahlia” is such a good song. Those key changes back and forth from major to minor are baaaaaaaad, it’s like three different songs stitched together.
