    Just heard Alkaline Trio's "Warbrain" for the first time. Wow, was/is Brian an Alkaline fan?

    Feels almost like he based a lot of this style on this song. The chord progressions. The lyric style. Even the reference to "'59".

    EDIT: Nevermind - see he's covered it a few times.

    So here's my thing. If there's a new song coming, which someone is more than welcome to confirm if they know coughhhh lol, I'd assume it's coming before they hit the road, no? Hasn't Brian said in the past he doesn't like debuting new songs on the road because no one knows them?

    It’s funny I remember them debuting Halloween at a Boston show, however, that’s a b-side so I’m sure that’s why they had no issue with it.
