What an incredible show.

 

The mood difference from the Chicago 59 Sound show to this was incredible. Whole band just looks so happy. So glad to have them back.

 

My guy, 14 minutes.

 

Tonight was my first gaslight anthem show and I felt really happy with how it went. I left thinking I’d love to see this band again someday and I thought the vocals sounded like the dude from the albums singing live! It was really good.

I didn’t really get too deeply invested in this band until Get Hurt, and I personally think Stay Vicious was the best live song of the evening, the way the band gets so into it had me pretty hyped. The internet had me worried they wouldn’t play much from that album, but man I felt like I got plenty from it and most of the songs I’d want to hear from it.

I had a great time. Banter was fun, band sounded great. I would have personally traded a few of the Get Hurt songs for a few more American Slang songs, but no big deal. Believe it or not, this was my first show sing (checks notes) 2019, and it was a good one back. Never thought I’d see these guys live again.

 

Glad to hear they bounced back. Must have been an off night the other day.

 

Legit cannot wait for tomorrow.

TONIGHT!!!

Hoping for some Have Mercy & Blue Dahlia which have been set staples. As for sleeper Get Hurt songs it’d be cool if they played Dark Places/Rollin’ & Tumblin. Not sure if I’ve heard either live yet. Whatever happens I don’t care because I never imagined it’d happen again and just am so glad they’re back!!

I wore my jean jacket and Docs to the Killers last night so I wouldn’t be cliché tonight.

I’ll be wearing a black/red flannel, jeans, and vans. I’m sure I’ll be the only one!

Other than the crossroads shows, they haven’t played Rollin’ & Tumblin’ since Nov 2014 according to setlist fm and all the sudden they bust it out tonight???
