Springsteen on Broadway also doesn't do Sunday performances if you want to get the unrealistic hype train going ;)
Ugh that thought was already brewing in the back of my mind, I'm still a bit bitter I wasn't there the last time Bruce made an appearance at one of their Stone Pony shows back whenever that was.
Was at the show...can tell you he seemed fully engaged...crowd though small for a festival I suppose was passionate and loved every minute of it
here's my take on the band's energy since playing shows again: Alex R fucking smiled, guys. like, he showed emotion. with his face!
I was watching the stream on my tv and on Here's Looking At You Kid and a couple others towards the end there were some smiles from Brian and Benny that I saw. I think the weather was the biggest impetus because it looked like it was coming down pretty good there.
also worth noting the crowd wasn't lit up at all. no big lamps or nearby light fixtures, moonless sky. just a stray beam of light from stage here and there. i doubt they could even see us - i could barely see the people next to me.
They tried to show them backstage before they went on and you could only make out silhouettes because there was no lighting. It wasn't until they started playing Stay Vicious that I could actually see something haha. There was a big drop in sunset to dark from Galantis to Gaslight on the stream.
Capacity is around 4k so it wont sell out immediately. If you try for tickets this week when they go on sale you will be able to get them. My guess is a 2nd show is added down the road, but no way I can see a 3rd. Thats around 12k tickets. Cant see them selling out 3 on the big summer stage, especially since they just played 2 shows here in NYC.
I disagree. If they sell out all 3 shows it wont be until the week of. I can see a Friday and Saturday sell out, not a Sunday.
