I would honestly love if they announced a Michigan date so I didn't have to make the Chicago drive haha

I think the Jersey date they add will be the last show. You get the first one!

Just saw Brian at Starland sunday night and don't get me wrong it was a great show...but I cannot wait to see Gaslight. Waiting on that Jers date as well. You couldn't pay me enough to go over to Governor's island. Did it 4 years ago and never again.

is Jersey seriously a consideration for the radius clause?? i can't see that being the case and don't know why they'd bother holding off if not

but... why wait? i mean i hope you're right and stuff cause i'd prob hit that too

i guess it is only 75 miles away, idk how these radius clauses work

Radius clauses can be pretty ridiculous, 75 miles falls into a lot of the festival ones

a lot can go into clauses like that, it may not just be exact mileage. But I would assume GovBall wouldn't want the Jersey-based band reuniting to play their most popular album in full to announce a hometown show if there are already lots of people coming from NJ to see them not knowing if this is their only shot.

i get this, but idk, Stone Pony would sell out immediately and there would still be droves of people dying to see them. from American Slang on, Gaslight was one of the most ridiculously priced bands from third party sellers/scalpers for the tri-state area. the demand is huge enough, i think.

i'm no businessman tho. again i would love for it to happen cause i'll eat up any chance i get

After Governor's Ball has ended are they allowed to announce? Or is there a certain amount of time after that show that prohibits them as well?

  17. Shrek

    Prestigious Prestigious

they'd be able to do it right away

The point is that Gov ball would rather you pay $120 thinking thats your only shot to see them at their festival rather than know you can spend $35 and see them at another time.

Driving from Boston to D.C. for the show just cause I have no certainy more shows will be added. They're def going to do something for Jersey, but as for other hot spots like Philly, Boston, NY not named a festival I have no idea what they'll do.

Lol $35 to see Gaslight in NJ/NY? God willing. It's $50 to see the Souls at this point...

What should have happened was "Stoked For The Summer" with Gaslight, Souls, Against Me and Titus Andronicus

But I don't think I'd ever be able to go to a show after that because nothing would be as good
