It’s times like these i wish Gaslight Anthem were still around. Still very thankful for Brian’s solo stuff and new stuff coming out. New song rules. Makes me feel good inside.
Brian's Georgia 10'' is so damn good. I still can't believe these songs were never released digitally. Low Love is easily one of my favorite non-Gaslight songs of his.
It's 11:30pm on a hot, Friday night here in Melbourne. Listening to my Handwritten record with a few cold ales. This was the record that got me into this band. Still sounds as good as it did in 2012. Pull it out, turn it up, what's your favourite song? That's mine, I've been crying to it since I was young.
Governors Ball started teasing their lineup with clues, and this is the one for today: I mean, it has to be, right? The Governors Ball Music Festival
I was thinking more along the lines of "high-top sneakers and sailor tattoos," but yeah, that's fine too.
Yeah I'm assuming they're each a different artist and today's clue was either TGA or Brian. Not sure about those other clues. Someone who was nominated for 5 Grammys. The first one kinda looks like the NYU logo...I know Alex the Astronaut goes to NYU right now but I don't know if she's big enough to warrant the first of 12 clues for a Gov Ball set. No clue about the praying hands either.
I’ve been saying it for a while now that Gaslight will be back sooner rather than later. I think when they do return it will be a few shows in Asbury, NYC, and Philly. Whether it’s festivals or not I could see either. What that means for this NYC speculation, I think it’s certainly possible.
That little drawing makes it seem like it has to be Gaslight. I don't think that hint would mean just Brian solo, as he's purposely distanced himself a little bit from TGA material as he seems to feel that is for all of them together as a band.
Well if it were just Brian, he's also doing a solo show in Brooklyn on May 2nd. Is it possible there is some kind of radius clause that would prevent him from doing both as Brian Fallon in such close proximity in a short space of time, which would point this more towards Gaslight? I admittedly don't know much about these kind of things, just asking.
Would be interesting considering Brian will be in the midst of touring on Sleepwalkers, but it's entirely possible that it's just a one-off thing. Maybe he'll pull double-duty and do a set for his solo project as well that weekend.
