Yeah it’s top 5 for me and they seem to play it every tour but somehow every show I’ve gone to it gets left out. Really hoping this time that changes
I’ve listened to this album so much since the remixed version was released. Already loved the album but the new mix just gives it even more life. That mixed with it being summer and Gaslight being a quintessential summer band … even if this is a perfect fall album.
They played Bring It On last night! First time in a LONG TIME I believe (and one of my favorites). Pretty sure Brian hates that song and at one time said he didn't ever want to play it again so this is pretty cool.
Bring It On was my favourite TGA song for years until I decided let's not overthink this their best song is like 9 songs on The 59 Sound then all of the great tracks from their other records come after that.
I love Bring it on. I didnt know Brian doesnt like that song until just recently. They played it on my first Gaslight show. Loved this setlist. The Gaslight Anthem Setlist at The Fillmore Detroit, Detroit
I know this show has already been mentioned before, but this was a killer setlist: The Gaslight Anthem Setlist at House of Blues, Boston *almost* perfect
Yep this show was amazing. Coming off the release of Handwritten I converted my entire friend group to being huge Gaslight fans that summer (last summer before college). We all came back from college to this show and it was suuuuuuch a time
my top 2 Gaslight concert experiences were this show and a show that I believe was around the time of American Slang being released, and it was an outdoor venue at a ski place like Sugarloaf Mountain but it was warm weather, and my girlfriend at the time and I got right up front to the barrier and there was a moment where everyone up front was screaming one of the Sink or Swim songs back at Brian Fallon at the top of our lungs and he had this huge grin like a little kid on Christmas
Hell yeah that sounds awesome! One my other favorite Gaslight shows that even in hindsight still was sick was their very first reunion show for the 59’ Sound anniversary in 2018. We drove down to DC to the 930 club and that show was sooooo good. The band also was in a good mood and the crowd was so pumped to have them back.
I'm trying to find the show I mentioned on setlist.fm and apparently they have never played Sugarloaf Mountain and they've only played in Maine one time..... * edited to add that it was Loon Mountain in NH not Maine! I apologize, I am not a skier/snowboarder/winter sports person
My favorite Gaslight show will always be the “45” video shoot. It was a Wednesday, I was just about to graduate from college, and I had taken all of my finals that Monday & Tuesday so I made the 2.5 hour trip out to Asbury Park, waited for almost 3 hours outside in the light rain. When they finally let us in and the band came on, they opened the set with Great Expectations then they played “45”, and to this day, I’ll never forget the look on Brian’s face when the first chorus hit. He had the biggest smile on his face. I don’t think he fully anticipated how hyped everyone would be on the song and how loud we were all going to sing it right off the bat. Amazing show.
I hate to keep beating this drum but the fact that they used to play 26 song sets (as attached) and now we typically get 20-21 bums me out. No reason to play a 90 minute set.
My guess is maybe that was a part of what burnt them out prior to their 2015 hiatus was playing longer sets. Or they’re trying to avoid Brian blowing his voice out. Either way, I agree. I wish the sets were at least 2 hours, but still, I’m glad they’re out there still killing it.
as a fan i get it but from their perspective nobody else is playing longer than 90 minutes in their position and alot of bands for less than that
