I like to order through an artist’s store as much as possible, but it’s frustrating when that’s the slowest way to get a record.

 

Really like the album on first listen, still a Gaslight album but also has some Local Honey & even some Sleepwalkers vibes on some tracks. Really liked The Weatherman & Michigan, 1975 of the not previously released tracks

I think Cursive sent out download codes 2 weeks early for people who pre-ordered I Am Gemini direct from them. That's the earliest I've gotten anything, and it's been quite a while since I got something early. I've been pre-ordering more from my local shop instead of direct from the bands just to make sure I get it by release day.

 

Saddle creek used to do this for all releases, it was my favorite thing ever. not sure they still do it, but i used to love them for it.

This feels like it's been the longest fucking rollout of all time, probably doesn't help that this is one of my most anticipated albums of the last few years (along with Daughter and they absolutely nailed it with Stereo Mind Game).

 

Emily Wolfe's album is pretty fun for those who want a record in the Gaslight family for this weekend.

 

thinking of splurging on one of next weekends shows. if my wife wants to go we'll prob do saturday but if shes out i might sneak outa work early friday and get to NJ for the album release night show.

 

Really excited to spin my vinyl tonight after the kids go to bed...which will probably be really late because Mario Wonder came out on Switch today.
