late to the party with the new version of the album, sounds so much better and really enjoying it now. If I'd have heard it earlier I would have gone to see them in Detroit, was there by chance on the night of the show there but decided to skip it for mexican (instead of mom's spaghetti) and saving 50 dollars
Saw them in Copenhagen when I wasn't that excited about the album and was a so-so show, think being more into it after hearing the better sounding update would have tilted me into going in Detroit
I know there’s crossover in their respective audiences but what a wild vibe shift that would be between their sets
Artists should simply make art they feel compelled to make, not even realistic that every audience member has to appreciate every single song. Even if you *tried* to crowd please you would fail that impossible goal
Did they not just tour for like 2 years? For a band who previously went on hiatus due to immense pressures of being in a band, touring, and overall needing that break … feel like nothing about taking time off is weird.
Just checked setlist fm and they’ve played: 2022: 31 shows 2023: 45 shows 2024: 67 shows Give or take 143 shows in 3 years plus releasing an album and then re-releasing it. Let them chill for a little bit if they want to
I consider the History Books album/tour era a huge bonus from them and we were all spoiled to get it.
album is absolutely incredible I find myself listening to the newer, rerelease version pretty much exclusively now, although I do still think the original album version of "Positive Charge" & "Spider Bites" will always have a special place in my heart
they're doing to the kick off show on the flogging molly cruise, but not staying on... was expecting some dates around that.
