Someone at one point said it would make a good opener and I agree. My version has it as the opener.

I feel like I’ve heard We Came to Dance live at almost every show I’ve been to lol

I do think it would probably make a great opener, and I realize these next two points are deeply unpopular around here, but here goes nothing - my version has it as the closer, because I love "Stay Vicious" and think it's a great way to open the album, and also because, while I do love "Dark Places" as a song, I don't think big, bold anthem à la "The Backseat" was the best way to close out what is a dark, messy, unwieldy divorce album

Saw them in SD last night. Was standing on the left side of the floor. Sounded so hollow and awful. Moved to the back right. Sounded great. Wish I would have watched the whole show from there.

Shocked they didn’t play history books or get hurt. But Michigan 1975 was a real treat.

This song was weird to me when the album first came out - I remember thinking the chorus felt kinda forced at first, like he had to hold some notes vocally in an odd way, but I quickly came around and now that is definitely a top tune for me. And it crushes live. That one and Mulholland and Handwritten - give me those every show.

Couldnt agree more. Handwritten is a no doubter top 5 gaslight song for me. And the guitar solo in muholland...so good.

  11. At this point I don't remember where but it's the best I've seen of that and the Peter Gabriel cover from the Painkillers sessions.

    Re: Keepsake
When the album just came out someone on the AP forums quoted the line “I'm not looking for your love, I'm only sniffing out blood Just a little taste of where I came from” and asked if the line is about going down on someone on their period. That comment has lived rent free in my head for 12 years now and I’ve never been able to truly enjoy the song because of it…

Yeah, that’s the one I’ve heard! I guess I was so used to the Crossroads version that this felt sped up.

I’d love for them to do a live cut of this in the studio, Tom Petty style, and release it.

    but this works too!

Etta James is his best solo track.

oh, I don't think this changes anything, but in my head when I was thinking about this, I wasn't considering any Horrible Crowes stuff as Brian solo
