Fell in love with this band on the Manchester Orchestra tour. Very excited for some more tunes from them! I will post more details as they come.

First single was very good. New one is very much not.

Saw them in New Haven a few weeks ago. Great show, the place was rocking.

    Keep on moving. Busy street.

I can't believe they thought this album title was a good idea. I honestly don't know if it's supposed to be tongue in cheek or if they just completely lack self-awareness.

I liked the single, Outlook, but listened to the full record today and and it didn't really grab my attention.

They are playing with Say Anything tonight at Red Rocks.

Guess the album title rings true.

Wish Kevin Devine would distance himself from these guys but this is the second time he’s been close with a band that’s turned out to be shitty people. That kind of says something to me unfortunately.

My wife won’t accept that these guys are trash people and still listens. She wants to see them in fall. Having a hard time getting in the right mindset for that show

Edited to add that I tried listening to this today and got to a song where this was the first line

“The name of this band was gonna be Mass Shooter
But the tone felt too spot on”

The songs trying to make some sort of vague political statement but it’s gross.

I still don’t think it’s fair to blame him man. I think we all know you throw a fart at a list of band names in this forum and you’re bound to hit someone shitty. He did drop asap though after the JL news. But that had 10x the visibility

    *a dart

Yea but I mean everyone knows Bemis is a creep. I don’t think they were on any other dates though.

    Love that you left fart.

From a musical standpoint, this album is pure garbage. Not really sure what they were going for here but it’s almost unlistenable.

I wouldn’t go that far, but it’s probably their weakest record alongside Going Grey. Some good songs on here but also a lot of filler.

The setlist for the tour has been amazing. Digging the album.

JL did have way more visibility, but there's no way KD doesn't know about these allegations. The fact that he only distances himself when it's something large enough to affect his career reflects pretty poorly on him imo

I’m not here to say confidently what Kevin Devine does or does not know, but I will say that the band (TFB) did an incredible job at burying the allegations and their actions afterwards. There was the email sent out to the mailing list and…that’s it. They’ve never spoken again about what happened or how they treated the survivor poorly and the survivor does not feel accountability has been met. So, when people are unaware or seem ignorant about these allegations, compared to say Jesse Lacey or Ryan Adams, I can understand more because TFB really tried to make sure these allegations made no waves.

  22. I feel fairly confident in saying KD does not know about these allegations, or even anything recent with Say Anything. I also think he did the right thing when it came to JL.

  25. I did listen to this out of curiosity and it's fine, a bit more of the same (especially after the last record) and yeah, I'd say it feels like their weakest next to Going Grey. But none of that really matters considering the above
