It was great, but a recording of it from the drive-in won't do it justice! Everyone was so far apart that you couldn't really hear anyone singing. And the audio came through your car speakers, so I recording would be from that. Fortunately I had front row seats and we could hear the drums loud and clear, and a lot from their monitors.
If we're doing this: Back On Top / Talon Of The Hawk (Rose EP) Self Titled In Sickness & In Flames (Ann EP) Going Grey The weird thing is, GG has two of my favourite TFB songs in Grand Finale and Ocean, and I still think it's a good album. They haven't really done something "bad" in my opinion.
Right now back on top In sickness Talon Self-titled Going grey but in sickness will probably be number 1 soon
In Sickness - Need some time to sit with it, but I just think thematically it'll end up here, could see it sliding under back on top. Back on Top - So many catchy and diverse songs, just ruled Self-titled - Revolutionary album for me at the time, but haven't come back to it as much as the others in the last few years Going Grey - Inconsistent/too many fillers though has some of my all time fav songs too Talon - Some songs didn't feel developed enough at the time I felt disappointed it strayed from self-titled, again has songs I come back to. I love all these albums.
Finally gave this a listen all the way through. Really enjoyed it and know some of the songs will grow on me even more. Based on first listen my favorite songs are new song d, Montgomery, Forever, leaf pile and bus beat. Everyone Blooms and Fairbanks Alaska are up there too. My least favorite songs are love at first sight and the jerk.
I’ve loved every TFB album and this is no different. Glad to see to it’s bringing a lot of others on board.

I’ve been wasting too much of my time with all the bullshit I’ve been giving too much of my life to my emotions
Part of why I really like this album is that it definitely had that sort of “we’ve grown up a lot since we started” vibe that sort of matches my own personal growth from when I first started listening to them 8 or so years ago. I don’t really want to call it their “mature” album because that’s pretty corny but it definitely feels like it was written by people who have been through some shit
This album is phenomenal and hitting me a little bit differently now. I've been reading the lyrics over and over again and it just really cements how strongly I've been connecting with this band, and I can't believe it's almost been ten years since the self-titled. It's really making me piece together the last decade of loving this band with certain parts of my life and where I was versus where I am now. So great. Jerk is definitely my number one though. That song is just *chef's kiss*
