Seems so soon but I mean good for you! Can't knock it haha I'll have to live vicariously through you for a couple months.
here you see a wild classic drew'b, you can tell by its customary compliment on its quality without giving a single detail about the actual content on the release!
I think what I really like about raining is the productions seems to be right in the middle between Talon and BoT. It's got some pop finish but there's still that kinda flatness/lofi/whatever the fuck you wanna call it. My biggest beef with BoT was it was wayyyyyy heavyhanded Plus the synth line screams hellogoodbye in the best way possible
atlanta show sold out already, if that's any indication about how huge this band is and how you should buy tickets now
they tour so much though, i've seen them like, 9 times now over the past five years and that's missing a few times too
This will be my 6th time seeing them since 2013. Saw them open for Bad Books in 2013 Headline in 2013 Open for Manchester Orchestra in 2013 Headline in 2015 Open for Brand New in 2016
^This made me check how many times I've seen TFB (7), and while I was looking I realized that I've seen Modern Baseball 8 times but only headlining once and now I'm furious/heartbroken.
coheadline with mansions coheadline with cheap girls (ugh fuck that) supporting MCS playing at this dope festival headlining with weatherbox headlining with you blew it supporting brand new headline with smith street band yup 8
oh whoops, forgot i saw them with brand new twice. once for the discography show and once for the devil and god tour last year. so 9 weird, i've seen TFB open for brand new playing three different albums in full lol
im hyped. still love all 3 of their main albums, plus the albums worth of b-sides/EP tracks. theyve got a solid back catalog and i think this album is on track to add to that.
Opening for BTMI Local record store (acoustic) Coheadline with mansions Opening for Menzingers Hoboken arts festival Opening for river city extension Talon of the hawk release show (x2) Headlining stone pony Champagne jam 1 Panorama music fest Opening for brand new Champagne jam 2 Atlantic City beer fest I'm almost definitely missing a few, but can't think of where else I would have seen them...
Uhmmm Opening for MCS at Grog (2012) Headlining w/ AGBPOL (2013) Opening for Say Anything (2014) Very small headline gig w/ LVL UP (2015) Huge headline gig w/ Smith Street (2015) Opening for Brand New (2016) I think that's it. Which is surprising I feel like I've seen them more than that
I was supposed to see them last fall with Brand New, but their bus broke down and didn't make it here.
really upset i missed those lvl up shows, that show sold out in like 30 mins here when that venue wasn't that much smaller from where i'd seen them play before. that's when i realized that they had blown up, haha. it was like, right before they announced back on top bummed i missed the bad books/weatherbox tour, mostly because that would have been another time i would have been able to see weatherbox, haha
I hate myself for missing the Bad Books tour, I also was supposed to see them open for ManOrch but didn't go to that either. But yeah that tour with LVL UP tour was when I first started at my old job and we knew the show would sell out but it went in like 15 minutes. We did 400 tickets and then had them back 5 months later and they sold 2200 and sold out a theater. Very wild haha They definitely blew up randomly somewhere
