i don't know why i'm like this but their previous releases always seem way more recent than they actually were to me. perhaps it's the consistent 2 yr cycle. who knows.
Can't wait for this. I really liked all of the music from Back on Top, but it didn't seem to have the staying power or emotional connection of the first two records. I hope this one clicks with me. Are there going to be pre-orders for this?
Pretty much how I feel. For a while after BOT came out I thought it was their best work, but it ultimately just doesn't resonate with me as much as Talon or S/T. I still think it's extremely fun and has a few of their best songs (Cough It Out, Laugh Till I Cry, West Virginia) but it's just sort of missing something for me.
This band is undefeated when it comes to terrible album art. That being said, I played Back On Top to death and am very excited for this.
Not gonna. I don't order from them anymore. But found it interesting it's up weeks before the band announcement
Agreed. I have been overwhelmed by the amount coming out that I want to listen to and am genuinely excited for. I can't even look ahead to October yet because there's still so much coming out this month and september. It's been a great year.
Every year is great for music! I've probably said "this year is the best year for music I can remember" the past 3 years in a row alone, haha. That being said, this year does feel particularly stacked. There have been so many wonderful records already released (Brand New, Manchester Orchestra, Paramore, The Menzingers, Lorde) and still so many left to come: TFB, Julien Baker, Circa Survive, The National, TWIABP, Phoebe Bridgers, I could go on.
I love this band so much. Love every release they have, love most of their songs, they make me happy etc. etc.
