Ticket sales say otherwise, but yeah this definitely snuck up on me too. So much good music coming out lately and so much good music to still come out. It’s easy to lose track
theyve also said that the next Grandma EP will be coming probably next year so thats also exciting. lots of old material I'd like to see reworked
This is my ideal album release cycle. Announce it a month and a half out, release two singles, call it good.
Honestly, this is the least I’ve ever been excited for one of their albums. But I wasn’t really excited about the last one either and ended up loving it so hoping the same happens again.
I think they are under some behind-the-scenes staff switches right now. Johnny Minardi is the new head of the label and I think they are going to have an awesome 2018.
Looove the Casey Bates podcasts. I really want that GAD bside ripped out of there, just haven't done it yet.
same same same same, I keep forgetting to do that. Maybe one of us will, and remind each other. Also, I hope we get more podcasts at some point, I know he got busy with... you know, actual work... but I'd love to hear more
Same. He did the albums I was hoping for most, but would love to hear a self-titled GAD one or maybe Portugal the Man or Foxy Shazam.
PTM is my most wanted for sure, Waiter HAS to have interesting stories behind it. Agree on Foxy's Introducing as well. I'm a big fan of Dr Manhattan and would love to hear how those albums were put together, and I actually love Bone Palace Ballet, definitely my favorite Chiodos album. Anyway, hope we get more!!!!
I’ve asked Bobby and Casey to release that b-side or if it will ever become available and they both said “no” in a nutshell which is a bummer. From what I understand Volcano had like 3 “b-sides” from those sessions but I’ve only ever heard the one on the Volcano podcast Sorry off topic anyways real excited for this hope it’s a good progression from BOT
Bummer dude. Would love to have whatever else got recorded from the supposed new album in like 2011. Also excited for The Front Bottoms, love Back on Top.
totally forgot this was out in 3 days and now I'm mega hyped. about to grab tix for the portland date
This album doesn't top BOT for me but it's still very good and very enjoyable. Gotta say, I really can't stand "Everyone But You." Reminds me of Blink circa-California and the hook just grates me for some reason. Some all-timers on here, though. "Trampoline" is a personal favorite and "You Used to Say (Holy Fuck)" is their best opener imho
