kevdev isn't on that show an horse is really great tho, wonder if we're getting new music from them, it's been a very long time
I'm so bummed out now, that was the main draw for me lol. hoping going grey grows on me waaay more between now and then, cause I'd still like to see them. I'll check out an horse tho
Oh man I may go to Grand Rapids for this. I was thinking of taking this week off anyway cus I've got a show June 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6th already. I'd love to see Going Grey in full and the EPs, so why not right?? Also my gut tells me that ???? June 30th date is probably Summerfest. Would make sense for them to swing down there from Minneapolis and they would definitely make a lot of sense to close out one of the stages there.
This is cool. Way less over produced (imo) than Going Grey. Everything's confusing. OH YEAH OH YEAH OH YEAH.
Truly though this isn't a massive leap away from anything on Going Grey in my opinion. I don't understand y'all. Strings are very cool though.
track is classic Front Bottoms imo, not everyone has to love every record and i did not love Going Grey.
i know, you're good. i can't call this "less produced" but the arrangement is more bare-bones and carries that rawness with it, the pop-off at 1:35 and the strings just tickle all my fancies brian's vocals sound largely untouched
Yea I guess I think the songwriting is similar to Going Grey, but it is a little more stripped back/acoustic based than most of that album, so I guess that's why people are liking it more. Brian's also sounds a little more like his traditional (I don't want to say whiny but it's the best descriptor I got) voice.
Like almost every Front Bottoms songs over the past few years, I don't love this on first listen, but I guarantee this will be stuck in my head all day long until I love it.
