I haven't watched this since it came out but the only color scene I remember is the one with Saorsie Ronan's eyes
the entirety of the newspaper offices (Bill Murray stuff) is in color, the whole Owen Wilson sequence is in color, a few moments in del Toro (revealing the paintings and a few others), the whole interview parts in the Jeffrey Wright segment, the two animated sequences, a few moments in the Chamlet sequence... just off the top of my head
yet the one they remember is the dopest shot in the movie, the shot of saorise ronan’s eyes it is an effective use of color
Oh yeah, I didn't really count the animated part or office stuff, but did remember Chalamet parts or it's because she's my biggest celebrity crush
I imagine the inevitable Criterion release will be packed with extras. Regardless of how anyone feels of it as a movie, it's a technical marvel. I would love to see how it was made.
This was okay. Some of the stories were interesting but overall I wasn't enthralled by any of it. Definitely a Wes Anderson film though.
this is an absolute perfect cast for Wes. Ralph Finneas in Grand Budapest is one of my favorite performances ever
Finally got around to this. I mostly enjoyed it, even if it felt like more of a minor work. Kind of like a band releasing a tribute album.
Probably one of my least favorite wes Anderson movies. Kinda boring and just same old same old Wes Anderson. Its a shtick we've done so many times already and I think its finally run its course. Too clever for its own good.
