If they are reuniting, I hope it leads to new music. Doesn’t have to be soon, but one day would be nice - if it feels right for them. I’ll cry if they do reunite. Should I buy tissues? They won’t be sad tissues. They’ll be happy tissues.
I’m torn on which band is better. I think I’d rather see The Format live but I’d rather have a new fun. album
I want a Format reunion more than fun. just because I never got to see them, and I’m not sure fun. would ever be able to recapture the magic.
I saw the Format open for Yellowcard and Something Corporate at a college show- my introduction to the band. Was floored by how good they were and bought I+L the next day. (fun fact- the show got shut down about three songs into SoCo's set due to noise complaints. Andrew was pissed, lol). Got to see them on the last Dog Problems tour (I think), too. I also got to see fun. on their first tour, opening for Jack's Mannequin. They didn't have a drumkit yet so they were playing on plastic storage bins. Good times! Edit- looking through my photos from that first fun. show, it looks like I made that drum piece up, whoops! Could've sworn that happened though, hahaha
I saw neither of them live. although, technically I might have seen the format. They opened for an All-American Rejects show I went to but I was 10 years old and didn’t give a shit about openers. Ugh
I thiiiink my ranking would also look like Steve's. it really is very tough because I love them all so much
saw fun with steel train as an opener. they were amazing. it made me wish i knew who the format was when they were around.
That whole crew that used to tour together a lot were some of my favorite shows ever. The Format, Steel Train, Limbeck, hellogoodbye, Anathallo, The Honorary Title... I've seen many iterations of those groups together
I saw fun open for Panic! at the Disco in a half-full House of Blues for like, $9. That won't be happening again anytime soon, lol
Yeah, first time I saw fun. was in 2011 opening for Panic! at the Disco at a House of Blues. Saw fun. headline the same House of Blues a year later and then play a pavilion headlining show in 2013.
