If we're getting new TAI next year we can definitely get some new Format

They’ll only have one more tour date (LA) to promote by the time they play Fallon (and it’s sold out already), so it definitely feels like there is going to be something new for them to pitch. Maybe we’ll get a new song premiere at tomorrow’s show.

Also, really insane for them to play national TV. Per reddit: “their last album peaked at 84, 19 years ago” lol

Are Nate and Jack on good terms?

 

I mean, if you ask me, I never believed they hated each other or anything, I think that was all fan speculation. I've read all the articles and interviews about the split and I really don't think it was personal as much as other reasons.

But I'm not them so I don't actually know

 

Based on some subtweets from Nate I’ve seen in the last year or two… no.

Yeah that has to be a new song, only thing that makes sense imo

 

I’ll try to dig some up, but if I’m recalling correctly, it was along the lines of Jack (and everyone else) not having a backbone regarding speaking out about Palestine at the Grammy’s. Nate is incredibly down to earth and very purposefully rejected the spotlight. He seems to be pretty grossed out by Hollywood people and culture in general.

 

Just had another Format touring member confirm for me over DMs: Will Noon will be on drums!!!!

I also saw that the other two members are Mark Buzard and Don Raymond, who I believe were both on the Dog Problems tour

 

Yup! Sounds like a super solid lineup. Also interesting to see Nate holding a guitar in the practice photos they put out today. Was expecting him to be solely on mic duties.

Seeing them next Tuesday and very excited

 

I almost have to think this is “announce new record during return show in your hometown” -> “play new single in front of national audience on TV” trajectory.
