Teamwork! I had Cartel tickets for the same night and they sold on Stubhub this morning. It’s meant to be (until COVID25 hits).

 

A few passing thoughts:

I wonder who will be in their band, I would guess the touring musicians from the end of their run are off doing other things now. It would be really cool, but probably unlikely, to get Will Noon, Nate Harold or Emily Moore from fun, or some other locals from the AZ scene

I wonder if they'll play any fun songs. Again, very unlikely, but Benson Hedges and The Gambler were The Format songs before fun, and others could have been too.... It's not entirely impossible

 

Got two tickets for LA, stoked for them and Phantom Planet

 

I literally texted my sister the other day and was wondering if they’ll play any Fun songs

 

That's funny you said that, because the first time I saw fun. post-The Format, there's a part in a fun. song where Nate sings, "But you were taken over by rock n' roll..." and paused, and someone yelled out at the 9:30 Club, "Like The Format!" and he said, "Noooo, honey you're living in the past."

 

Fun. came on my "your mixtape" playlist today and I had that passing thought as well.

 

Got a ticket for Tuesday!

Wednesday was gone immediately for some reason at 12. Probably gonna stay an extra day in New York just to see if I can land a ticket for that show.

either way I’m so damn happy, it feels like I’ve waited a lifetime to see The Format live cause they broke up right when I got into them lmao
