anybody get a refund from the original eventbrite purchase who used a cancelled credit card? we’re trying to figure this out. we responded to the cancel email but it came through Lyte which is not where we purchased them…
If the card is fully canceled, like you don't have an account with the issuing bank anymore, then you will need to contact the bank that issued the card to coordinate receiving the refund. If just that specific card was canceled, but you have a new card with that same account/bank, it will make its way to your new card, it just might take a few days.
If you're having trouble locating it, contact Eventbrite, make sure the refund was actually processed, and if it was (and it was a Visa or MasterCard) ask for the ARN (Acquirer Reference Number). You can then use that when you contact the bank to find out where the money went.
Got a refund for the first show, but the one I got off of Lyte says no refunds … sent an email but not feeling great about that one lol
Did you (or anyone) have any luck getting a response from Eventbrite? I contacted them last week and did not hear back.
Me neither....though it would've been cool if they gave the option to replace the tickets with passes for Arcade Fire since they replaced them at the venue
I said it before, but while I’m sure it was a tough decision to cancel, but I also think Nate wasn’t too upset that he doesn’t have to do it. I really think he’s over just about anything involving the music industry.
If he is truly over music then why keep rescheduling the shows? Like I understand where you are coming from getting that impression but they kept postponing the shows which I took to mean they wanted to play these shows, and would have kept postponing until they were able to. Not keep postponing and then cancel (especially when it would have been pretty safe to play the shows now).
Maybe he’s still not comfortable? Or thought more about it and just decided he didn’t want to play the shows anymore after all the postponements. Probably felt more like a chore than something he wanted to do at this point. It sucks, but I get it.
Those are also good points tbh, everyone's comfort level is different and maybe he changed his mind on playing the shows since the last reschedule
Yeah, I got so hyped. Never heard it before then realized it was old. Took it down to not drag anyone down with me.
I did see that Nate posted that there would be big news today for 'whatever Grand Ro fans are left in this world'.
