From most of the interviews I watched it seemed like he expected it to not sell anywhere near as much as Some Nights and was ok with it. I hope that's the case at least. I don't want him to ever get put off making music.
I know this is the Format thread but I'm listening to Grand Romantic right now and I'm really missing Nate. I know he wants to spend some time with his kid right now and I obviously respect that, but I do really hope he does something in the next year or two. Grand Romantic is underrated (even by me - I haven't listened for a long time but I'm really enjoying it right now).
I wasn't following them before right now. Any time I see a post in this forum I get excited. Please come back!!
The format have been on IG for a while and Nate deleted all of his posts around 6 months ago.. still praying though
I just need some kind of Nate album/tour whether it be fun, the format or solo. Can’t believe it’s been almost 5 years since his solo album.
i thought the solo album was some of his least inspiring work. i'd love a Format reunion but i don't know how much i'd love new music. that always scares me
The only reason I'd really care is new music. I'd love to see them live but new music is easily the most exciting thing. I'm sure it would be amazing.
Nate's solo album definitely wasn't my favorite of his, but it also wasn't "I don't ever want to hear new music from him" bad, like it was still pretty damn good imo he just has such a stellar catalog that it's hard to match. I will go ahead and say I want both a new Format album and a tour.
