This is so laughable because it’s the hardest ticket I’ve ever tried to get. Instantly sold out, three straight nights. I didn’t try anywhere but Phoenix, but from what I remember - it was the same deal everywhere else too. Thus why they kept adding nights.
Wish they would have done a live stream or something. It would have been cool to just seem them play live together. Those starting line streams were awesome.
For real, it's one of the few shows I would have booked a plane ticket for (had I been able to snag a ticket)
Wrong.. tickets were impossible to get in Chicago. It needed to be @ hob or metro (1k+ venues). Their last tour before breakup was at the metro and the venue was at capacity.
Not to pile on to what everyone else has already said about the reunion shows, but regarding their break up specifically - they broke up at the peak of their popularity, and pretty much everyone who followed them at all at the time was completely shocked.
Man, I got A ticket to ONE night, but I had to call in all the favors and I’m pretty sure I still owe a kidney to someone.
I got one ticket but I had to buy the 2xLP set in order to get it. A couple of my friends never got one, and were never able to get one from the fan ticket exchange site they had set up.
Hopping on here to agree that yes, these tickets were indeed near impossible to get. I snagged one for Chicago on Sunday somehow, but I know I got lucky. Really hoping we get a livestream in lieu of these cancellations. I also (selfishly) really hope that if/when they do book more dates, those of us that did have tickets to these get like a special presale or something. I would've held on to my ticket if they kept pushing it back ad infinitum.
Tie the Rope is still the only song I go back to. The rest is just kinda, ehh. Including fun. and the solo dreck Never seen them live. Sounds like it'd be hard to anyway
I'm still kicking myself over skipping their set years ago when I went to go see June open for them at the Glasshouse.
I had gotten 4 tickets to the Bowery on the fan pre-sale, and considering how hard it was to get those tickets, I'm pretty upset about this – not even a single mention of giving those who did manage to get tickets some sort of guarantee to the new shows in the future (honestly, I'm still not convinced they want to do those.)
