Dog Problems Aim and Ignite I&L Some Nights Grand Romantc love all of them I do think the solo album would of been better if he had a backing band with chemistry.
all I know is grand romantic isn’t even in the same conversation as the rest. and I don’t think some nights has aged particularly well but it still has some highlights and it has nostalgia going for it
Dog Problems I&L Some Nights A&I Grand Romantic I love them all, but Dog Problems is so far and away above the rest for me. An all-timer.
Grand Romantic is better imo because it’s consistently decent. Some Nights varies from bad to pretty good
I think Jeff Bhasker’s production is very of its time. Just never really dug it. “Some Nights” the song is great and I always liked “Stars” and “Out on the Town.”
“Some Nights” is tied for my daughter’s favorite song in the whole world with “The Sound” by the 1975. I feel pretty lucky.
Is there anyone here who heard The Format before Fun/solo and still thinks post-Format groups are better ? Not being critical of anyone’s opinion just curious….i was so mad when The Format broke up and Nate had that massive success with these other albums since it made me think The Format would never return !
Yes, I think overall I lean ever so slightly more to fun, but they're my both my favorite babes ever so whatever
Thought we were gonna go this whole convo about Some Nights without anyone mentioning Stars! I love that song as a closer and while I also really like Out on the Town, I wish it was just on the album instead of tacked on as a bonus track (maybe instead of It Gets Better, a song I wish I liked)
I love Out on the Town, but I don't listen to it when I listen to the album, which I know is dumb and stupid, but it's a bonus track in my eyes so I listen to it by itself haha
I do the same thing, but my wife basically sees it as the closing track since that's how it was on her iPod.
