Looks like Nate and Sam have been signing some vinyl at local stores (including mine in Baltimore) and they've been taking some "creative liberties" with the Interventions cover
chicago show? i had a ticket but i completely forgot it was today haha! i was drained from my 7am work shift and the weather has literally sucked donkey dick all day i decided not to go, sounds like you had a good time though! i saw mclovin was there playing with ben kweller, random!
I was wondering if we were gonna get a slightly longer show since it started so early and this was the last city they hadn’t played from the 2020 shows. So glad to be right, what a special night.
Really just don’t have words, it was so cool to be there. Finally seeing this band after so long, just seeing Nate at all for the first time in 11 (!!!) years, my parents coming because my obsession with fun. & then with all things Nate was so intense they had no choice but to get into it too, and being there with one of my best friends who I became close with over our shared love of fun. It was just so full circle. Music is pretty cool
They were sooooo good last night. Never got to see them before and this was a great first time, especially after all the Covid show cancellations.
FYI looks like they had to cancel this weekends Saturdays in the Park, if anyone was planning on going
Goddamn that was a great show. Welled up a few times but the girl in front of my wife was sobbing almost the entire time. It was beautiful man. Only song I truly missed was Make This Moment a Crime but could not begin to complain about a set that included Mess to be Made and Sore Thumb
