Setlist looks great! I’m a bit surprised they aren’t playing more from the new album, which I really enjoy, but am okay with. My heart still needs more healing for all the time spent away by hearing the classics.
Out of this world set list. I have never danced so hard in my life as I did tonight! They sounded great.
Had such a great time but I’m spoiled cause I’ve seen them 5 times now would have loved to hear more new songs
Would have welcomed a couple more new songs, but that setlist was basically perfection, at least personally. If Work Permits has always been a favorite of mine and to open with that had me in my feels. Sore Thumb sounded amazing too, was definitely a highlight.
Love the new album but happy it was mostly older songs, especially I&L. As I’ve gotten older these songs have become such a part of me, I listened to both of them through so many hard times. It was so exciting to finally see them all in one place and scream along to them!
Glad it’s older-songs-heavy as well. Gives everyone that couldn’t make the first batch of shows a chance to see those songs again
same. the new album was fine, but i think they realize most people are likely still going to see those tunes. if they did another tour after this, they could integrate more of the new ones for sure.
Random aside for anyone seeing the tour while Ben Kweller is opening, I just learned that Christopher Mintz-Plasseis part of his current band haha
Philly went off tonight. Great change up in the setlist and Hey Jealousy was great. Two rude guys talking over the whole set next to me, but so fun.
Just got home from Philly, and they absolutely killed. Fighting against the acoustics/soundboard of the Electric Factory, Nate still sounded incredible. 10/10 show, no notes. The only somewhat bummer was Ben Kweller getting only a half hour set! Justice for BK. Great to see him after all these years.
As a big fan of both this band and Sparks, I am absolutely kicking myself for just now finding out about the live EP where they cover This Town Ain’t Big Enough for the Both of Us
Philly show was really great, and Nate sounds incredible. Wish I had gone to the Franklin Square show beforehand, though. Of the six songs they apparently played there, five were ones they didn't play at the later show. Really thought Ben Kweller would get 45 minutes, but very happy that he played "Optimystic" in the time he did get.
