Really hoping I can make it down to Peoria on Monday for that show. Even if I can't, I love this band and I'm glad I got to see them a couple times (and open for them once) after Everybody Left came out.
what the fuck? hahaha, i think s/t is their best pretty easily and the last one they put out was very good too
Show was awesome and the turn out was great- especially for it being on such short notice. They're also working on a new record (but don't expect it for a very long time). Setlist: Fade In Fade Out (May You One Day) Carry Me Home I'll Set You Free One Hundred Percent Illinois West Coast APR Sing It Out Some Things Never Change Life's a Garden, Dig It And We All Return To Our Roots Everybody Left These Lights
They're playing a show on Sept 5 in Peoria with a bunch of other bands from the early 2000's central Illinois legion hall scene.
That fest looks like so much fun - definitely considering making the trip down for it even though my September is already really busy.
Agreed. It's definitely going to be a cool/unique couple of weeks seeing a lot of the local bands I grew up with one weekend, and then a lot of the larger/national acts I grew up the next weekend at Riot. It'll be a little hectic, but worth it.
We may have talked about this before, but are you from the Peoria area? I was just a little bit young for most of those bands, but I remember seeing the fliers for their shows in Bloomington, and my first punk house show was opening for Tina Sparkle.
Oh nice! Yeah I grew up in Peoria and then went to ISU. Lotssssss of Forecast/Junior Varsity/Park/The Graduate shows. I bet we were at a lot of the same ones!
This band fills a space for me that no other band can ever quite fit. Love them and am glad they seem to still be active at their own speed.
Hopefully this means they’re playing some shows this year. I had heard they had a tour planned last year but it obviously never happened.
Spinning In The Shadow of Two Gunman for the time in a few years. Forgot how much I loved this album.
