are we being strict a pickle is a pickled cucumber or can I pickle another food and use it?

i'm all about Bread & Butter pickles. was introduced when a nice old lady brought some to a potluck and i've been forever grateful.

I would say we can use the pickle juice to pickle other foods but maybe not use straight pickled chilies or anything like that. That was my take on it anyways

I would have been doomed from the beginning if I were cooking and @Justice Beaver had not informed me on how bad of an idea that is.

 

My feeling is just using the pickle juice is also fine

 

See the thing is marshmallows don't really melt, like they aren't going to turn into marshmallow fluff or like liquefy without a lot of additional help and ingredients. Like if you threw them in a sauce pan and let them cook even on low heat they would just burn, smoke, and then light your house on fire if you let it go long enough. Plus it would smell awful.

 

Pickle juice should be fine.

 

Drinking pickle juice is prettt good. Pairs well with tequila.

Only if it's homemade. Which means you have to break into a government warehouse to steal the ingredients.
