what a horrible heart wrenching weekend for us floridians. (and americans in general). I truly can't wrap my head around this past weekend. So much pain.
But it's also heartwarming to see that people were lining up around the blocks to donate blood to the point where the blood banks were at capacity and had to turn away walkups, urging them to make appointments to donate because they'll need it in the coming days.
yes...Even here in Tampa. seeing that was literally the first thing since the news broke that actually made me feel like there was hope after all.
I love visiting the Orlando area every year but I don't think I would ever want to live in Florida. I need my New England seasons
I'm going to see Pity Sex, PWR BTTM, and Petal at Backbooth tonight in Orlando. All proceeds are being donated to victims of the shooting. Come out if you're in town!
You forgot lovebug season. There used to be snowbird season but now it just feels like they never leave. Thousands of vehicles with Ohio/Michigan/Ontario tags tooling along the highway going 10 miles under the speed limit in the left lane. Or opening another Italian restaurant "just like the ones back home" as if the 5 other Italian restaurants down the street need more competition.
A 3.7 magnitude earthquake just hit off the coast of Daytona...I didn't even know we could get earthquakes in Florida. Now i'm terrified.
Turns out it wasn't an earthquake afterall. Earthquake off Florida coast actually 'experimental explosion' by U.S. Navy
I bought Disney passes for my family this year for the first time ever. That feels like the most Florida thing ever. It's been fun but exhausting. All things considered, the Florida resident deals aren't bad if you want to make a couple trips over the year with a (small) family.
