What's the general consensus on Inviting Light? I hated it at first and then slowly warmed up to it, but it never reached Cavalcade levels of love for me and I don't return to it all that much.
Inviting Light is definitely good, the only flats record with a few duds but the good songs are good just not as good as anything previously
Just pretend it's Direct Hit! Haha. I'm seeing them tomorrow night and I'm real curious to see how they meld the new songs into the set... Although I don't know that they're really all that different next to the Adult Braces stuff. Except the ska song, obviously. I'm kinda feeling like that won't be the case. The first three tracks are gonna be on the new album. The last two are effectively EP exclusive b-sides (and feel like they might have been kicking around for a while).
I like the first half of it, it definitely loses me on the second half. I'm hoping that it is something that cresswell had to sort of get out of his system in terms of sound, and now they're back n ready to rock me
I saw it on their Reddit page but I have no idea where they found it at. Cover art and track listing is there.
Seriously love that I get to see No Trigger tonight and then listen to a new Flatliners single when I get home from the show.
Sounds better than I expected. It's more in the vein of Dead Language or the faster punk songs from Inviting Light. I'm intrigued.
Woah. Way heavier and darker than expected and then breaking into that melodic chorus. What a return to form. I'm officially stoked for the album now.
Really loving the new song. It caught me off-guard, initially, but it's an instant grower. The lyrics are on point too. Now, to keep an eye out for a pre-order via Fat today...
This is fantastic! It starts out much heavier than I was expecting but I'm in love with what I'm hearing. My hype for the new album is immeasurable.
