I'm pretty sure that TV threads are for discussing anything once it's aired. So if you don't want spoilers, I wouldn't recommend reading the threads the night of the show.
Another lackluster boring episode. I feel like all of their problems are just stemming from not revealing any of the interesting details after way too long. Zoom should have been revealed way earlier in the season that by the time it was finally revealed it was just anti-climactic. Same thing is happening with the man in the iron mask. Just freaking reveal it already and be done with it and push the story forward. Watching every week waiting for the reveal while they just waste time on boring/lackluster storylines. A bad guy based on the premise of Jack? So goddamn annoying
I didn't think this shows plot could get anywhere near Arrow levels of bad but right now I think it is. Which speaks volumes for the cast that I still immensely enjoy tuning in so much every week compared to Arrow which feels like a slog. Every single member of this cast shines episode after episode. Everyone is constantly bringing their A-game, except for Wally. Lets send him over to Arrow.
CW should cut Arrow and Flash down to 16 episodes a year like Legends. Then maybe add a 4th DC show and spread them out over the year.
Claiming that this is anywhere near as bad as Arrow is ludicrous. Arrow is a pathetic mess, and this has just had stumbles throughout the season but still been thoroughly enjoyable. As others said, the constant breaks aren't helping anything. Would also be happy with 16 episodes.
Genuinely enjoying Legends more than both this and Arrow right now. This show has had some amazingly stupid writing the past few weeks. I just don't buy Teddy Sears as a villain. At all.
Yeah, I wish they would cut right to the chase instead of dragging things out. Plus if they had done this (and if rumors/speculations are/were true) we would probably have a better story than we do now. Also as you said by the time we get to the reveal most of the excitement would/will be replaced by annoyance. That being said though, this is still my favorite DC live action show right now.
Hahaha it definitely was. God awful Ages with every punch. Who the fuck came up with that? And how do they have a higher paying job than I do?
It was just such a vintage throwaway villain of the week. The first season of Smallville is almost unwatchable because they had one of those literally every week. I understand that a certain number of those types of stories are essential to keeping superhero shows going, but at least figure out ways to make them interesting. This week, we had a bad villain AND the overdone superhero-loses-powers trope. Just lazy writing all across the board.
I think both this and Arrow would benefit from going to half seasons. I think the biggest strength of Legends is that it's been able to keep the narrative relatively brief (though that show is also more episodic in nature than either of these). Both Flash and Arrow this season have felt like 10-12 episodes worth of story stretched out over 23-episode seasons.
Holy shit. Just heard a really cool idea for who the man in the mask is. The Flash from the early 90's show. That would actually be the coolest thing ever.
The Arrow just needs a reboot. A lot happened on that island apparently...I mean, A LOT. The Flash is dragging, while last year they weren't trying to drag things out.
Wally coming for ya now, Zoom I was racking my brain trying to think what they could be doing with that bit of info, but couldn't come up with anything
